Joe Walsh (R-IL) on the reason Barack Obama was elected President:

they were in love with him because he pushed that magical button: a black man who was articulate, liberal, the whole white guilt, all of that..

Yes, he did go there. I wonder if he realizes just how racist that really is. I doubt it. Just like all of the TEAHadists, he seems to have no clue.

I think you have to phrase it as "The Honorable Media Whore Joe Walsh"

Just don't call him a "media slut", because after all he is paid good money for his "service".

The psychology of projection is quite fascinating. In this case we see the typically Republican belief that anyone who ascribes to a position different than that of the GOP has reached said position not by way of a rational intellectual process, but through mental or emotional defect.

And the only reason Joe Walsh was elected is because he is a WASP who tows the line for corporate and special interests over that of his constituency...

Which statement is more true... Walsh's or mine?

Link to Joe Walsh's district.

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/findyourreps.xpd?state=IL&district=8

This encompasses parts of Lake and Cook counties - some of the most conservative areas.

I'm a little surprised at the shape of the map - it was different a few years ago.

His remarks are not surprising - but they sure are offensive.

I have noticed how easy it is for black people to get ahead. I play as a guest at a country club with 7 million dollar homes. They are all occupied by people of color. In case you missed it, this is sarcasm.

But I thought the GOP was quite clear that it wasn't a racial issue.

...Not really, Cain had to convince them that he hated black people more than they do. They believed him.

Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) is like the other white Republican Represenatives and Senators in Washington, it burns them to the deepest depth of their souls that Barack Obama, a African-American is more intelligent and has more power as President of the United States of America than they do. The Republican Party has turned into the Racest Party to get the southern states white votes and the northern states racest votes.

WE HAVE TO RE-ELECT BARACK OBAMA PRESIDENT IN 2012. We HAVE to elect a Democratic majority to the House and elect at least 60 Democrats to the Senate 2012.

And here I thought the American Public elected Barack Obama because he wasn't a worthless GOP ideologue. I think Joe will find that reason still applies in 2012 when half of his Republican colleagues disappear after the upcoming election...

Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) is a racist white trash and the only reason he was elected is that his voters are all also racist white trash.

    Republican= Teabagers=Taliban.

Come on boys and girls let's admit it, race was a part of the decision. That's what we do as thinking people, we consider all evidence when making a decision. I saw a good candidate -- that was black. Hmmm. So .... when he made "campaign promises", I believed them more than normal. In my mind they carried more weight, carried more potential. I'm still not sure if I'm right -- but we'll see soon.

My vote went to Obama simply because of the previous 8 years of dismal failure of the Republican Supreme Court picked President Bush and his whole Administration. Also, because I trusted Obama to do as he promised and Extricate us from the trumped-up wars of choice that the Bushes had Lied us into. Obama could have kept his word if he had Immediately fired every sorry ass that Cheney-Bush left behind as they scurried for the Exits. But I guess, like imbedded Roaches, it was a more difficult job than he had anticipated.

If the voters had given Obama the help he required; a Majority in the Senate, as well as in the House, he would not have been fighting with his arms tied behind his back. Remember, he also had the AIPAC Lobby twarting everything he tried to accomplish. ( You do know where over Forty of what we Thought was Our Congressmen and Women chose to spend this Last Recess, don't you ? Why..to Israel, so Netanyahu could give them further marching orders. That should tell you what Obama is up against...a Foreign Country pulling the strings of Our Government...using our own tax money that is being funneled back into the pockets of those bought and paid for Hirelings. Too harsh..I do not think so !

Could all of you Criticizers have done any better, in the same situation, dealing with the same cards he was dealt ? I think not. We must not make that same mistake in 2012. Give Obama the Support he has to have...a Democratic Majority.. Then stand back and allow him to Keep His Word. Remember, a President is only One Man. It is the Congress that makes him a success. Remember that when you vote.
