On July 2, 2010, the bureau released its monthly Current Employment Statistics Highlights report. On page five, the report contains statistics on seasonally adjusted private sector employment going back to January 2000. Data for the month of July --which wasn't over when Geithner spoke -- won't be released until August, so that's the most up-to-date data available. The report notes that data for the two most recent months are preliminary. But unless there's an unusually big after-the fact correction for either month, it's pretty clear that Geithner was correct. We've seen positive job growth in the private sector from January to June. We rate this True.

Add those two things to the Bush tax cuts (where the wealthy got most of the benefit) and this country will be toast. We'll be Sweden in the 1970s, where I'm told average peope were paying 70% and MORE in taxes.

Bachmann will give this country to Wall Street and the corporate elite. The government, meanwhile, still will need revenue and will get it from somewhere.
